My dog is afraid of me?

What you need to do is build trust with your dog. We adopted my puppy when she was very young, but she had been saved from a puppy mill and was VERY skittish and scared. It helps if you can let her know that you are in submission. I found that lying on the floor on my back was the ONLY way my puppy would come to us for weeks, she would not come to you sitting or standing. Try to get more on her level to let her know that she can trust you. I would start with calling her while lying down, then when she does that without hesitating, try it laying on your stomach or sitting crosslegged, when she comes then without hesitating try kneeling etc. They are small steps, but thats what you have to do to gain trust. It took our puppy about 3 months to actually trust us and she was VERY young when we got her, so i can only imagine how long your puppy suffered.
