Suggest a simple english novel not too lengthy and not too complicated?

Jeffery Archer is known for his short stories. I've read, And Thereby Hangs a Tale, which is a collection of beautifully written short fictions, the good thing about them is that they're good enough to keep you entertained without getting bored. When it starts to get boring, the story'll end and there'll be a new one to read! I'd check it out if I were you, he also writes other short novels.
