Changing my rear end gears from my 87 monte carlo?

i have a 87 monte carlo with 24'' wheels.so i need to change my rear end gears.for it to take off quick and to have the power.they said a 373.so if buying the gears what would all the parts name be to make one.and what also should i go for .thxxx
